Information
Garmantuous is the final boss in High On Life. He is the leader of G3 Cartel.
Encounter
You encounter Garmantuous in Bounty: Garmantuous mission.
Abilities
His attacks are mostly made of orb attacks. While orbs have different colours, they all do the same damage.
Phase 1
- UFO: Garmantuous flies around in his UFO space ship that fires orbs.
- Vertical Orbs: Garmantuous will fire vertical lines of orbs.
- Horizantal Orbs: Garmantuous will fire horizantal lines of orbs.
- X Orbs: Garmantuous will fire 'X' shaped orbs.
- Orbs Wall: Garmantuous will fire wall of orbs that has a hole high up.
- Orb Hell: Garmantuous will wait and charge for series of orb attacks.
Phase 2
Even though he loses his space ship, Garmantuous will still keep his orb attacks from Phase 1. He also gains new abilities
- Acid Waves: Garmantuous jumps and dives on the ground creating a wave of acid around him
- Acid Pool: Garmantuous shoots acid on the ground that slows and damages when walked on
Phase 3
Garmantuous gets knocked out, choose a gun to trigger the bomb manually.
Missable Achievement: Playing Favorites:
Sacrifice a Gatlian other than Kenny during the fight against Garmantuous.
Guide
The main damage dealing weapon for this fight is Lezduit. However, Lezduit's reload speed is slow. You should swap between weapons when Lezduit reloading.
Try to keep distance to be able see what attack is coming you can also hit Garmantuous with Lezduit.
Phase 1
- Vertical Orbs: Can be dodged by moving left/right
- Horizantal Orbs: Can be dodged by moving jumping/crouching
- X Orbs: Try to dodge under 'X'
- Orbs Wall: Jump and use Jetpack Suit to go through the hole on the orb wall
- Orb Hell: Try to run away as much as possible while he charges, as orbs spread when they attack far, makes it easier to dodge between, or take less damage.
Phase 2
- Acid Waves: Jump and use Jetpack Suit to go above it
- Acid Pool: Use Sweezy to clean them to create a space for yourself
